YSL presents: “SheMale”
Androgyny is taken to the next level for menswear by the eye of designer Hedi Slimane and the interpretational skills of model Saskia de Brauw for the SS13 Yves Saint Laurent menswear ad campaign. With a punk rock / mod influence we are able to see how the boundaries of sexuality have reached a new level, giving men a softer and slimmer look with a tough attitude.
An other interesting fact about this collection is that all items will be available for both men and women, making this the first unisex collection of YSL. The entire campaign was also shot “all natural”, which means no make up was used on the model giving her a rough look.

As summer has come to an end…
So has my time at FIDM and living in LA.
After two tough years of non-stop work I can finally say that I am officially a FIDM Alumni, however, I am going to miss walking around the school and seeing the Juicy Couture wall…
… the cool and fun homeworks …
… dressing up everyday and being around people who also enjoy fashion …
… the V-Com windows …
… the FIDM food …
… the cafeteria and the fashion videos that they play …
… watching TV shows and movies being filmed in DTLA …
… but I think the most important thing that I got out of FIDM was the physical and spiritual evolution that I was able to make during these two years and understanding myself even more …
with ups and downs FIDM was definitely a life changing experience.
FIDM’s official theme song lol.
